4.      Learning exchanges tours for subject teachers ( English, Math and Science)

My reflection:

Its good to share the ideas. It needs to be re-designed to make more productive. Categorization, prioritization, planning and executing the events wisely in a cost effective way is essential. Best practices sharing can be an additional workshop for day two. One day is not functional. Hands on products, punctuality, child at the center, less discussion more sharing, talk with evidences rather than beliefs etc are essential policies as it is a network, not an executive body.  High tech communication can be an effective tool to communicate with in the institutions. I am interested to participate as a communicator of the events and outcomes.

I had 6 weeks residential study in the BGSU, Ohio. It was started in the 1st February, 2013. I had my four homes altogether.
1. First was The Best Western Falcon Plaza, Wooster street. It is a guest house with a well facility. The staffs there are professional. The ladies of the hotel reception are like mothers in own home. They care a lot. They cried when we were leaving them. You can find them in http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/US/OH/Bowling-Green-hotels/BEST-WESTERN-Falcon-Plaza/Hotel-Overview.do?propertyCode=36052
2. My second home was in western road of BG Downtown. It was my first home stay. The family was Rick and Jackie's family. The family has an ideal pair. They are legend of the city. Actually, Rick a developer have built more than 300 houses some small communities even. He is well experienced and professional in his job. His job wouldn't be complete and competent if there was no Jackie. They are the two parts of a coin. The infrastructure of any house gets its life after Jackie paint with small but beautiful designs on its wall, floor, ladder etc. This family is an ideal and their idea are ideal. Rick is hardworking and committed on his experiences and Jackie shares life on his hard work. I found the family has a very good heart of cooperation for the needy people. They had taken a Nepali girl student as their daughter a decade before. Now she has her own family. They have a foundation to support peoples in difficulties. They have experiences from Ethiopia. They have been conducting a radio program for last 14 years. They arranged me a discussion program on the Valentine day. I had many exposes provided on my stay. I visited the huge diary farm, Agro Machinery stores, Concrete mining company, a church and the Meijer store. We had very good heart level relation developed. I enjoyed other visits to the family even. We are in communication till. I pray for their prosperity and long life with happiness. You can visit them on ( www.rickandjackie.net).
3. My third home in Ohio was in Dr Jaya Balan Moodley's family. They live in Marion. Marion is near by Columbus the capital city of Ohio State. Dr. Moodley is an Indian rooted S Africa descendant. He left SA due to the political reasons in his early young hood. He served in US Army, left the service and joined Ohio State University as a medical student. Completing the MBBS, got a beautiful wife in Marion, job in locality and resided there. He is well famous doctor for women related issues and maternity cases. He has conducted some high risk cases successfully. He has four daughters. He has a huge house with everything one may want. Swimming Pool, video hall, bar, Gym, half a dozen models cars and more. Dr. Moodley is helpful and pro-motive,He shares his own story which is stronger than some degrees of a university. He made our visit to the Ohio State University. He was one of the million graduates of the university.
